Joomla is the "Swiss Army Knife" CMS... it does just about anything you could want. To begin with, it's extremely flexible and well-designed. But it doesn't stop there: as an open source platform, Joomla! has a thriving user and developer community around the world, meaning there is a seemingly endless supply of extensions, plug-in modules and themes to get your site started on a fast track. While implementations are a bit more complicated than WordPress or MosaicGlobe, and the management system is somewhat more sophisticated, the end product is a powerful, flexible site that will meet just about any need.

Drupal is widely considered to be the most flexible and powerful CMS available today. It is almost more of a programming platform for web applications, as opposed to static billboard-style or brochureware web sites. If your goal is to build a sophisticated and interactive web application, or a participatory site geared toward developing an online community, Drupal is definitely a great option.
